For example: Slot 1 is most efficient overclock, 2 is max OC on the edge of being unstable, 3 is single-threaded (disable down to 2-cores) and clocked way higher. I am not too sure what settings this time I should be concentrated on to OC. It is just that overclocking my 10700K seems complicated. and am not too sure about using software to overclock a CPU. I have always done CPU overclocking through the BIOS. I am just weary of using software to overclock my CPU. Has anyone ever used this tool? Is it good? Reliable? What about temps? Does it take into account what cooler and temps you are getting? Or just setup a stable overclock and it is up to you to make sure it stays cool enough?

I am just forgetting what it is called.Įdit: Nevermind, lol, it is called Intel's Performance Maximizer. Now, there is Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility, doesn't Intel have another software tool that overclocks, or tunes, your CPU automatically. I was wondering if I should use Intel's XTU, or just do everything through the BIOS like I have always done? Is there anything that Intel's tuning program does that would be better than just doing everything through the BIOS? I assume using the BIOS would still be the best way to get the most stable and reliable results.
